Underdog Investigations

Audience with King Domino

Underdog Investigations tracked down the man who shot Lien Pasco, a radical mutant activist named Michael Boyer.

King Domino reveals his plan to consolidate the criminal activities of the city section by section, with the Skids being the next on the list. Jefferson turned down an offer to run the Skids for the Marielitos , backed by the rest of the team.

Skippy used his contacts with the homeless to distract the Marielitos guarding King Domino’s car and plant evidence related to the theft of government documents related to illegal testing on mutants. Which lead to the arrest of some of the gang members but not King Domino himself.

Gumshoe ended up spending the night in a cell courtesy of the NSIB for suspiciously staking out their local headquarters. He did manage to learn a few facts that lead to Michael Boyer.

Virgil ran afoul of the NSIB while searing for electronic documents related to Michael Boyer, but was instrumental to finding his current location.

Siddhartha was unable to convince Officer Goodman to give the team more than the name from the casing found in the alley. But that with his mental powers was enough to get the initial lead that lead to finding Michael Boyer.

Felecia Kline didn’t win any converts for the commune, inadvertantly insulting both VIrgil and Skippy. Additionally she was later revealed to have contracted Michael Boyer to steal the information from the NSIB that started this whole fiasco.

The Case of the Shot Street Healer

Underdog Investigations finds Neil Pasco shot, bleeding and unconscious on their doorstep. The shooting appears to be related to a metallic cylinder he was in possession of earlier in the night. The cylinder is a container about half full of vials of an unknown nature, it also has a list of 13 female names from over 30 years ago (all have passed away now) one of whom is the mother of Gumshoe.

Members of the Marielitos gang break the truce with Jefferson and intrude into the Skids (non-violently, strangely) to deliver a summons for Jefferson from King Domino for the following night at 6:00pm.

Siddhartha experienced some backlash from the rest of the team over his aggressive use of mind control on citizens of the Skids. However, his abilities allowed him to get a rough mental image of the person who shot Neil.

Skippy kept his nose to the ground and spent a fair amount of time conversing with other homeless residents of the Skids. Skippy was the only one able to hear the code hidden in the alarm that lead to them finding a way to open the mysterious cylinder (with the help of eccentric inventor Taylor Feltz)

Virgil served as aerial scout and was the first to spot the clues that lead the team to believe that the cylinder may have been the object stolen by Jade Arrow they read about in the newspapers.

The game is finally afoot

After several aborted attempts to get a game going, including changing the genre and system a few times and a last minute drop out, the world building/character creation session for the new game is complete.

We decided to play gritty, slightly futuristic low powered supers. The players will be facing pressure to join a somewhat mysterious commune of mutants in New Mexico while at the same time trying to protect the mutant ghetto they live in and protect.
